Magic of Number 9

  1. Take any number randomly. For example – 496537
  2. Add all the digits of the number. Here, 4 + 9 + 6 + 5 + 3 + 7 = 34
  3. Now, subtract the sum of the digits from the original number. Here, 496537 – 34 = 496503
  4. If the difference (new number) is a multi-digit number, add all the digits of the new number. Here, 4 + 9 + 6 + 5 + 0 + 3 = 27
  5. Again, if the new number is a multi-digit number, add the digits of the new number. Here, sum of digits in 27 is 2 + 7 = 9
  6. Magic:- Adding the sum of the digits of a number and subtracting the same from the number repeatedly gives 9 as the sum of the digits of a new number obtained after subtraction.
